What is Classic Arcade Games?

Classic Arcade Games is a public floor of classic video games that run in a modern web browser. The catalog is organised as halls: each hall is a playable system, and each cabinet is a title you open on the same page — no separate play URL, and no desktop emulator to install.

The site exists so that these games remain easy to find and to play: for people returning to titles they already know, and for people meeting them for the first time. We publish a library, hall directories, and indexes for genre, series, and developer.

How it works

Getting started does not require an account, a plugin, or a downloaded client.

  • Choose a hall or open the library and pick a cabinet.
  • Press play on that page. The emulator loads in the browser.
  • Use the keyboard, or a USB / Bluetooth gamepad where the browser allows it. On many titles, save states stay in this browser so you can resume on the same device.

Halls that are open

A catalog should name only the systems it can actually serve. The playable halls on Classic Arcade Games are: Arcade, Game Boy Advance, NES. If a system is not in that list, it is not offered as a hall here.

Counts on the floor and on hall doors refer to titles that can be opened in the browser. We do not advertise empty halls.

What you can expect

Play is free. There is no subscription and no paywall on the public catalog. We do not operate a ROM download desk: this floor is for playing in the browser, not for taking game files away to use elsewhere.

Where a title is not hosted for in-browser play, you may supply a ROM file that you have the legal right to use. That file stays in this browser (IndexedDB). It is not uploaded to our servers. Clearing site data removes it.

Original works

Game titles, characters, music, artwork, and trademarks remain the property of their respective rights holders. Classic Arcade Games does not claim ownership of those works and does not grant a licence to copy, sell, or redistribute them.

This site is an independent catalog. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Nintendo, Sega, Sony, Capcom, Konami, Bandai Namco, SNK, or any other publisher or hardware maker named in the library.

Contact

Corrections, play issues, and notices from rights holders go to [email protected]. The Contact page lists what to include. We do not maintain a walk-in office.
