Terms of Service

Rules for personal use of Classic Arcade Games, including copyright, non-affiliation, and how rights holders submit a takedown notice.

Last updated: 13 August 2026

1. Acceptance

By accessing Classic Arcade Games you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site. If you use the site on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it.

2. Copyright notice

All game titles, ROM images, artwork, music, characters, and related material remain the intellectual property of their respective rights holders. Classic Arcade Games does not own that content and does not claim to.

The catalog is an independent, unofficial project for personal, non-commercial play and historical reference. Users must not treat in-browser play as a licence to copy, archive, sell, or redistribute game files.

3. Non-affiliation

Classic Arcade Games is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Nintendo, Sega, Sony, Capcom, Konami, Bandai Namco, SNK, or any other publisher or hardware manufacturer named in the library. Names and marks appear only to identify the works in the catalog.

4. Our original material

The site’s arrangement, hall language, interface, original text, and design system are provided by Classic Arcade Games. You may not copy that original material for a competing service without permission.

5. Permitted use

You may access the catalog and play titles in your browser for personal, non-commercial entertainment. You agree not to disrupt the service, scrape it in a way that impairs it, resell access, distribute malware, or use the site to launder access to material you do not have the right to use.

6. User-supplied ROM files

Some cabinets allow you to supply a ROM file from your device. If you do so, you represent that you have the legal right to use that file for personal play on that device. Those files remain in your browser. We do not host them for you and we do not accept them by email.

7. No download desk

This site is a place to play in the browser. It is not a warehouse for downloading game binaries for use elsewhere. Hall pages, game pages, and any transfer required for play are not a licence to copy those files.

8. DMCA and rights-holder notices

We respect intellectual property rights. If you are a rights holder or an authorised agent and believe a cabinet infringes your copyright, send a notice to [email protected] with the subject line “DMCA” or “Rights notice”, including:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  • The exact URL of each cabinet concerned.
  • Your name, postal or electronic address, and telephone number.
  • A statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

9. Availability

We may add, remove, or reorganise cabinets without notice. Play depends on your browser, device, and network. The service may be interrupted for maintenance, abuse mitigation, or legal review.

10. Disclaimer and liability

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data or play progress.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for access in the three months before the claim (zero for the public catalog) and the minimum required by mandatory law.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. The date at the head of this page is the date of the current text. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.

12. Contact
