1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how the public websites in the classicarcade.games family collect, use, and store information. By using the site you understand the practices described here.
You can browse halls and play cabinets without creating an account. The sign-in screen on this site is a reserved interface. It does not presently open a persistent membership or send a password to an account database.
2. Information we collect
When you visit, hosting and content-delivery systems may record technical data in the ordinary course of delivering pages: IP address, browser and device type, language, timestamps, requested URLs, and approximate location derived from the network. We use this to keep the site available, to absorb abuse, and to fix failures — not to build a marketing profile of your play history.
If you write to [email protected], or if you include an address on a game request, you provide that information voluntarily. We use it only to understand the message and, where appropriate, to reply. Do not send passwords, identity documents, or ROM files by email.
3. Information stored on your device
Theme (light or dark) and language preference may be stored locally so the next visit on the same browser can restore them.
Save states, where offered, are kept by the emulator in this browser so progress can be resumed on the same device. They are not a cloud save service.
A ROM file you supply is stored in this browser through IndexedDB. We do not receive a copy. Clearing site data in your browser removes theme preference, save states, and locally stored ROM files for this origin.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We use local storage and, where the hosting platform requires it, cookies needed for security, locale, or session integrity. These are not advertising cookies.
We do not currently run third-party advertising networks (including Google AdSense) or third-party analytics tags on these pages. If that changes, this policy will be updated before such tags are introduced.
You may refuse or clear storage in your browser. Doing so may reset appearance, language, and local play data. It does not delete email you have already sent.
5. How we use information
Technical logs and messages you send are used to operate the catalog, answer support and rights-holder notices, improve reliability, and comply with law. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.
6. Sharing
We may share limited technical data with infrastructure and hosting providers solely to run the site, or when disclosure is required by a valid legal request. We do not sell personal information to advertisers.
7. Children's privacy
The catalog includes arcade and home titles, some of which depict combat or other mature themes. The service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, write to [email protected] and we will delete that correspondence as soon as reasonably practicable.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask what correspondence we hold from a given address, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to [email protected] from that address.
Play data and user-supplied ROM files live on your device. We cannot erase them remotely; only you (or your browser settings) can. You may also stop using the site at any time.
9. International visitors
The site is on the public internet. Infrastructure that delivers pages may be outside the country from which you connect. If you do not accept that technical transmission, do not use the site.
10. Changes
We may revise this policy as the service changes. The date at the head of this page is the date of the current text. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
